Mushy

I can understand making softer jerky but this jerky is way too soft! I used to buy Hi Country jerky for traveling. I love the flavor and it always had a decent chew. These bags make me think that something has changed in the recipe or cooking process and the result is a Jerry that is almost mush. Unless something changes, I won't be buying from HI Country again.

Not really a jerky, more beefstick. Wasnt a fan

Grew up with, but now…

No jerky compared to Hi Country when the Johnson’s owned it, but since it’s been sold, the quality has taken a huge dump. I’m sad that the best jerky in the US now has the consistency of raw meat (tender sliced) and lost all flavor. The Pucks are still good, but you can’t find them anywhere, and the Trading Post is like a wasteland. Seriously disappointed in what this once great product has become.

I did like the flavor but I didn't like the prefabricated pieces. They were too hard and I was unable to chew them.

Sad
I miss the original Hi-Country Beef Jerky

I was so excited for this order as I grew up on Hi-Country Beef Jerky. The new recipe is nothing like the old one and the meat is too mushy. Sad.
